What I Eat in a Day
Like anyone else, I am bloody busy. I work full time, am away most weekends, and have a lot going on outside of work. I also can't even imagine how people with KIDS do life?! Power to ya I say!
Sometimes it's hard to fit in a healthy lifestyle with everything else going on, so I thought I'd run through a basic food day for me so you can see how I generally eat. Hope it provides some inspo for you.
Morning: If I exercise in the morning, I'm up at around 5:30am and back home around 7 and make a smoothie (recipe to come). If I don't work out, I get up around 6:30/7am and either chuck together some bacon and eggs or make my favourite paleo porridge (recipe to come). Always with coffee, obvs.
Lunchtime: Healthy lunch can be a little bit niggly when you work in an office. I try my best to bring leftovers from home most days, but sometimes it's not possible as I eat it all at dinner time... When I say sometimes, I mean 90% of the time. If I have to buy lunch, I'm not too fussy, I either go to the supermarket and get some snacks such as smoked salmon, cheese and some paleo bread and make a wee sandwich situation, or I go to a salad bar like TANK and grab something quick. But mostly I'll just go the kebab shop across the road and get a chicken salad without the sauces (I promise it's still tasty!).
Food is one of those things that brings me a lot of happiness! I love cooking at home and believe it's a real sign of love when you put effort in to cooking for someone else. To be honest, meat and 3 veg is the base of most of my dinners as it's easy and just so damn delicious, but sometimes I like to mix it up and get a bit Jamie Oliver on it. I've got a few dinner recipes I'll put up in separate posts. They will be worth the wait!!! I hope.
